- Joshua 6 18:13 - And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Bethel, southward ; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Bethhoron.
ועבר משׁם הגבול לוזה אל־כתף לוזה נגבה היא בית־אל וירד הגבול עטרות אדר על־ההר אשׁר מנגב לבית־חרון תחתון - Genesis 1 28:19 - And he called the name of that place Bethel : but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
ויקרא את־שׁמ־המקום ההוא בית־אל ואולם לוז שׁמ־העיר לראשׁנה - Judges 7 1:23 - And the house of Joseph sent to descry Bethel.
ויתירו בית־יוסף בבית־אל ושׁמ־העיר לפנים לוז - Proverbs 20 2:15 - Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths :
