- 2 Chronicles 14 11:16 - And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
ואחריהם מכל שׁבטי ישׂראל הנתנים את־לבבם לבקשׁ את־יהוה אלהי ישׂראל באו ירושׁלם לזבוח ליהוה אלהי אבותיהם - Jeremiah 24 11:7 - For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting , saying , Obey my voice.
כי העד העדתי באבותיכם ביום העלותי אותם מארץ מצרים ועד־היום הזה השׁכם והעד לאמר שׁמעו בקולי - Joshua 6 24:14 - Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth : and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt ; and serve ye the LORD.
ועתה יראו את־יהוה ועבדו אתו בתמים ובאמת והסירו את־אלהים אשׁר עבדו אבותיכם בעבר הנהר ובמצרים ועבדו את־יהוה - 2 Samuel 10 11:11 - And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents ; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields ; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink , and to lie with my wife ? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
ויאמר אוריה אל־דוד הארון וישׂראל ויהודה ישׁבים בסכות ואדני יואב ועבדי אדני על־פני השׂדה חנים ואני אבוא אל־ביתי לאכל ולשׁתות ולשׁכב עמ־אשׁתי חיך וחי נפשׁך אמ־אעשׂה את־הדבר הזה - 1 Samuel 9 7:6 - And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.
