- Joshua 6 8:9 - Joshua therefore sent them forth : and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai : but Joshua lodged that night among the people.
וישׁלחם יהושׁע וילכו אל־המארב וישׁבו בין בית־אל ובין העי מים לעי וילן יהושׁע בלילה ההוא בתוך העם - Isaiah 23 41:18 - I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys : I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
אפתח על־שׁפיים נהרות ובתוך בקעות מעינות אשׂים מדבר לאגמ־מים וארץ ציה למוצאי מים - Joshua 6 8:13 - And when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city, and their liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.
וישׂימו העם את־כל־המחנה אשׁר מצפון לעיר ואת־עקבו מים לעיר וילך יהושׁע בלילה ההוא בתוך העמק - 1 Samuel 9 9:14 - And they went up into the city : and when they were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out against them, for to go up to the high place.
