- Joshua 6 14:4 - For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim : therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
כי־היו בני־יוסף שׁני מטות מנשׁה ואפרים ולא־נתנו חלק ללוים בארץ כי אמ־ערים לשׁבת ומגרשׁיהם למקניהם ולקנינם - Hosea 28 5:5 - And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face : therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity ; Judah also shall fall with them.
