- 1 Samuel 9 17:50 - So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
ויחזק דוד מנ־הפלשׁתי בקלע ובאבן ויך את־הפלשׁתי וימיתהו וחרב אין ביד־דוד - 1 Kings 11 7:31 - And the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a cubit : but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half : and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare , not round.
ופיהו מבית לכתרת ומעלה באמה ופיה עגל מעשׂה־כן אמה וחצי האמה וגמ־על־פיה מקלעות ומסגרתיהם מרבעות לא עגלות - Exodus 2 27:9 - And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle : for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side :
ועשׂית את חצר המשׁכן לפאת נגב־תימנה קלעים לחצר שׁשׁ משׁזר מאה באמה ארך לפאה האחת - 1 Samuel 9 17:40 - And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip ; and his sling was in his hand : and he drew near to the Philistine.
ויקח מקלו בידו ויבחר־לו חמשׁה חלקי־אבנים מנ־הנחל וישׂם אתם בכלי הרעים אשׁר־לו ובילקוט וקלעו בידו ויגשׁ אל־הפלשׁתי - Exodus 2 27:15 - And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
