- Ezekiel 26 29:18 - Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus : every head was made bald , and every shoulder was peeled : yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:
בנ־אדם נבוכדראצר מלכ־בבל העביד את־חילו עבדה גדלה אל־צר כל־ראשׁ מקרח וכל־כתף מרוטה ושׂכר לא־היה לו ולחילו מצר על־העבדה אשׁר־עבד עליה - Isaiah 23 18:2 - That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go , ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled , to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto ; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled !
