- Genesis 1 14:23 - That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet , and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say , I have made Abram rich :
אמ־מחוט ועד שׂרוכ־נעל ואמ־אקח מכל־אשׁר־לך ולא תאמר אני העשׁרתי את־אברם - Genesis 1 11:26 - And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
ויחי־תרח שׁבעים שׁנה ויולד את־אברם את־נחור ואת־הרן - Genesis 1 11:31 - And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife ; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan ; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
ויקח תרח את־אברם בנו ואת־לוט בנ־הרן בנ־בנו ואת שׂרי כלתו אשׁת אברם בנו ויצאו אתם מאור כשׂדים ללכת ארצה כנען ויבאו עד־חרן וישׁבו שׁם - Genesis 1 15:18 - In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying , Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates :
ביום ההוא כרת יהוה את־אברם ברית לאמר לזרעך נתתי את־הארץ הזאת מנהר מצרים עד־הנהר הגדל נהר־פרת - Genesis 1 11:27 - Now these are the generations of Terah : Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran ; and Haran begat Lot.
