- 2 Kings 12 23:4 - And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven : and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.
ויצו המלך את־חלקיהו הכהן הגדול ואת־כהני המשׁנה ואת־שׁמרי הסף להוציא מהיכל יהוה את כל־הכלים העשׂוים לבעל ולאשׁרה ולכל צבא השׁמים וישׂרפם מחוץ לירושׁלם בשׁדמות קדרון ונשׂא את־עפרם בית־אל - 1 Kings 11 12:32 - And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made : and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made .
ויעשׂ ירבעם חג בחדשׁ השׁמיני בחמשׁה־עשׂר יום לחדשׁ כחג אשׁר ביהודה ויעל על־המזבח כן עשׂה בבית־אל לזבח לעגלים אשׁר־עשׂה והעמיד בבית אל את־כהני הבמות אשׁר עשׂה - 1 Kings 11 13:2 - And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said , O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD ; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name ; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.
ויקרא על־המזבח בדבר יהוה ויאמר מזבח מזבח כה אמר יהוה הנה־בן נולד לבית־דוד יאשׁיהו שׁמו וזבח עליך את־כהני הבמות המקטרים עליך ועצמות אדם ישׂרפו עליך - 2 Chronicles 14 13:9 - Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands ? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
הלא הדחתם את־כהני יהוה את־בני אהרן והלוים ותעשׂו לכם כהנים כעמי הארצות כל־הבא למלא ידו בפר בנ־בקר ואילם שׁבעה והיה כהן ללא אלהים
