- 2 Kings 12 18:22 - But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God : is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away , and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem ?
וכי־תאמרון אלי אל־יהוה אלהינו בטחנו הלוא־הוא אשׁר הסיר חזקיהו את־במתיו ואת־מזבחתיו ויאמר ליהודה ולירושׁלם לפני המזבח הזה תשׁתחוו בירושׁלם - Judges 7 6:25 - And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:
ויהי בלילה ההוא ויאמר לו יהוה קח את־פר־השׁור אשׁר לאביך ופר השׁני שׁבע שׁנים והרסת את־מזבח הבעל אשׁר לאביך ואת־האשׁרה אשׁר־עליו תכרת - Judges 7 6:31 - And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal ? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning : if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.
ויאמר יואשׁ לכל אשׁר־עמדו עליו האתם תריבון לבעל אמ־אתם תושׁיעון אותו אשׁר יריב לו יומת עד־הבקר אמ־אלהים הוא ירב לו כי נתץ את־מזבחו - Exodus 2 34:13 - But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves :
כי את־מזבחתם תתצון ואת־מצבתם תשׁברון ואת־אשׁריו תכרתון - Exodus 2 40:10 - And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar : and it shall be an altar most holy.
ומשׁחת את־מזבח העלה ואת־כל־כליו וקדשׁת את־המזבח והיה המזבח קדשׁ קדשׁים
