- 1 Chronicles 13 19:6 - And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Mesopotamia, and out of Syriamaachah , and out of Zobah.
ויראו בני עמון כי התבאשׁו עמ־דויד וישׁלח חנון ובני עמון אלף ככר־כסף לשׂכר להם מנ־ארם נהרים ומנ־ארם מעכה ומצובה רכב ופרשׁים - 2 Samuel 10 10:6 - And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.
ויראו בני עמון כי נבאשׁו בדוד וישׁלחו בני־עמון וישׂכרו את־ארם בית־רחוב ואת־ארם צובא עשׂרים אלף רגלי ואת־מלך מעכה אלף אישׁ ואישׁ טוב שׁנימ־עשׂר אלף אישׁ - Joel 29 2:20 - But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up , and his ill savour shall come up , because he hath done great things .
ואת־הצפוני ארחיק מעליכם והדחתיו אל־ארץ ציה ושׁממה את־פניו אל־הים הקדמני וספו אל־הים האחרון ועלה באשׁו ותעל צחנתו כי הגדיל לעשׂות - Hosea 28 9:3 - They shall not dwell in the LORD'S land ; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
לא ישׁבו בארץ יהוה ושׁב אפרים מצרים ובאשׁור טמא יאכלו - Isaiah 23 19:23 - In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
