- Joshua 6 4:7 - Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD ; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off : and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
ואמרתם להם אשׁר נכרתו מימי הירדן מפני ארון ברית־יהוה בעברו בירדן נכרתו מי הירדן והיו האבנים האלה לזכרון לבני ישׂראל עד־עולם - 2 Kings 12 5:14 - Then went he down , and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God : and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean .
וירד ויטבל בירדן שׁבע פעמים כדבר אישׁ האלהים וישׁב בשׂרו כבשׂר נער קטן ויטהר - 2 Samuel 10 19:18 - And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan ;
ועברה העברה לעביר את־בית המלך ולעשׂות הטוב בעינו ושׁמעי בנ־גרא נפל לפני המלך בעברו בירדן - Joshua 6 3:8 - And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying , When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.
ואתה תצוה את־הכהנים נשׂאי ארונ־הברית לאמר כבאכם עד־קצה מי הירדן בירדן תעמדו - 2 Kings 12 5:10 - And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying , Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean .
וישׁלח אליו אלישׁע מלאך לאמר הלוך ורחצת שׁבע־פעמים בירדן וישׁב בשׂרך לך וטהר
