- Joshua 6 4:7 - Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD ; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off : and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
ואמרתם להם אשׁר נכרתו מימי הירדן מפני ארון ברית־יהוה בעברו בירדן נכרתו מי הירדן והיו האבנים האלה לזכרון לבני ישׂראל עד־עולם - Isaiah 23 29:20 - For the terrible one is brought to nought , and the scorner is consumed , and all that watch for iniquity are cut off :
כי־אפס עריץ וכלה לץ ונכרתו כל־שׁקדי און - Leviticus 3 20:18 - And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness ; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood : and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
