- 1 Chronicles 13 5:25 - And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
וימעלו באלהי אבותיהם ויזנו אחרי אלהי עמי־הארץ אשׁר־השׁמיד אלהים מפניהם - Hosea 28 4:12 - My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err , and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
עמי בעצו ישׁאל ומקלו יגיד לו כי רוח זנונים התעה ויזנו מתחת אלהיהם - Psalms 19 106:39 - Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
