- Exodus 2 13:17 - And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go , that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near ; for God said , Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt :
ויהי בשׁלח פרעה את־העם ולא־נחם אלהים דרך ארץ פלשׁתים כי קרוב הוא כי אמר אלהים פנ־ינחם העם בראתם מלחמה ושׁבו מצרימה - 2 Samuel 10 24:16 - And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough : stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
