- 1 Samuel 9 6:18 - And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD : which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.
ועכברי הזהב מספר כל־ערי פלשׁתים לחמשׁת הסרנים מעיר מבצר ועד כפר הפרזי ועד אבל הגדולה אשׁר הניחו עליה את ארון יהוה עד היום הזה בשׂדה יהושׁע בית־השׁמשׁי - Judges 7 16:8 - Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried , and she bound him with them.
ויעלו־לה סרני פלשׁתים שׁבעה יתרים לחים אשׁר לא־חרבו ותאסרהו בהם - 1 Samuel 9 29:6 - Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight : for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day : nevertheless the lords favour thee not.
ויקרא אכישׁ אל־דוד ויאמר אליו חי־יהוה כי־ישׁר אתה וטוב בעיני צאתך ובאך אתי במחנה כי לא־מצאתי בך רעה מיום באך אלי עד־היום הזה ובעיני הסרנים לא־טוב אתה - 1 Samuel 9 5:11 - So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said , Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people : for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city ; the hand of God was very heavy there.
וישׁלחו ויאספו את־כל־סרני פלשׁתים ויאמרו שׁלחו את־ארון אלהי ישׂראל וישׁב למקמו ולא־ימית אתי ואת־עמי כי־היתה מהומת־מות בכל־העיר כבדה מאד יד האלהים שׁם - Judges 7 16:23 - Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice : for they said , Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.
וסרני פלשׁתים נאספו לזבח זבח־גדול לדגון אלהיהם ולשׂמחה ויאמרו נתן אלהינו בידנו את שׁמשׁון אויבינו
