- Genesis 1 38:11 - Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown : for he said , Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.
ויאמר יהודה לתמר כלתו שׁבי אלמנה בית־אביך עד־יגדל שׁלה בני כי אמר פנ־ימות גמ־הוא כאחיו ותלך תמר ותשׁב בית אביה - Deuteronomy 5 20:7 - And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.
ומי־האישׁ אשׁר־ארשׂ אשׁה ולא לקחה ילך וישׁב לביתו פנ־ימות במלחמה ואישׁ אחר יקחנה - Deuteronomy 5 20:5 - And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying , What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
ודברו השׁטרים אל־העם לאמר מי־האישׁ אשׁר בנה בית־חדשׁ ולא חנכו ילך וישׁב לביתו פנ־ימות במלחמה ואישׁ אחר יחנכנו - Deuteronomy 5 20:6 - And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
