- Deuteronomy 5 14:29 - And the Levite, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come , and shall eat and be satisfied ; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest .
ובא הלוי כי אינ־לו חלק ונחלה עמך והגר והיתום והאלמנה אשׁר בשׁעריך ואכלו ושׂבעו למען יברכך יהוה אלהיך בכל־מעשׂה ידך אשׁר תעשׂה - Zechariah 38 7:10 - And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor ; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
ואלמנה ויתום גר ועני אל־תעשׁקו ורעת אישׁ אחיו אל־תחשׁבו בלבבכם - Jeremiah 24 7:6 - If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt :
גר יתום ואלמנה לא תעשׁקו ודם נקי אל־תשׁפכו במקום הזה ואחרי אלהים אחרים לא תלכו לרע לכם - Lamentations 25 1:1 - How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people ! how is she become as a widow ! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary
איכה ישׁבה בדד העיר רבתי עם היתה כאלמנה רבתי בגוים שׂרתי במדינות היתה למס - Ezekiel 26 44:22 - Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away : but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before.
