- 1 Kings 11 2:22 - And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah ? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother ; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.
ויען המלך שׁלמה ויאמר לאמו ולמה את שׁאלת את־אבישׁג השׁנמית לאדניהו ושׁאלי־לו את־המלוכה כי הוא אחי הגדול ממני ולו ולאביתר הכהן וליואב בנ־צרויה - 1 Samuel 9 8:10 - And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.
ויאמר שׁמואל את כל־דברי יהוה אל־העם השׁאלים מאתו מלך - 2 Kings 12 4:3 - Then he said , Go , borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels ; borrow not a few .

ותאמר שׁאלה אחת קטנה אנכי שׁאלת מאתך אל־תשׁב את־פני ויאמר־לה המלך שׁאלי אמי כי לא־אשׁיב את־פניך - Jeremiah 24 48:19 - O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy ; ask him that fleeth , and her that escapeth , and say , What is done ?
