- Genesis 1 17:20 - And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee : Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful , and will multiply him exceedingly ; twelve princes shall he beget , and I will make him a great nation.
ולישׁמעאל שׁמעתיך הנה ברכתי אתו והפריתי אתו והרביתי אתו במאד מאד שׁנימ־עשׂר נשׂיאם יוליד ונתתיו לגוי גדול - Isaiah 23 48:5 - I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say , Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
ואגיד לך מאז בטרם תבוא השׁמעתיך פנ־תאמר עצבי עשׂם ופסלי ונסכי צום - Isaiah 23 48:6 - Thou hast heard , see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things , and thou didst not know them.
שׁמעת חזה כלה ואתם הלוא תגידו השׁמעתיך חדשׁות מעתה ונצרות ולא ידעתם - Isaiah 23 44:8 - Fear ye not, neither be afraid : have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God ; I know not any.
