- Genesis 1 41:48 - And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities : the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.
ויקבץ את־כל־אכל שׁבע שׁנים אשׁר היו בארץ מצרים ויתנ־אכל בערים אכל שׂדה־העיר אשׁר סביבתיה נתן בתוכה - Jeremiah 24 7:18 - The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger .
הבנים מלקטים עצים והאבות מבערים את־האשׁ והנשׁים לשׁות בצק לעשׂות כונים למלכת השׁמים והסך נסכים לאלהים אחרים למען הכעסני - Jeremiah 24 50:32 - And the most proud shall stumble and fall , and none shall raise him up : and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
וכשׁל זדון ונפל ואין לו מקים והצתי אשׁ בעריו ואכלה כל־סביבתיו - Jeremiah 24 7:17 - Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem ?
האינך ראה מה המה עשׂים בערי יהודה ובחצות ירושׁלם - Jeremiah 24 44:21 - The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind ?
