- Judges 7 21:10 - And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest , and commanded them, saying , Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.
וישׁלחו־שׁם העדה שׁנימ־עשׂר אלף אישׁ מבני החיל ויצוו אותם לאמר לכו והכיתם את־יושׁבי יבשׁ גלעד לפי־חרב והנשׁים והטף - Deuteronomy 5 2:34 - And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain :
ונלכד את־כל־עריו בעת ההוא ונחרם את־כל־עיר מתם והנשׁים והטף לא השׁארנו שׂריד - Joshua 6 8:35 - There was not a word of all that Moses commanded , which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.
לא־היה דבר מכל אשׁר־צוה משׁה אשׁר לא־קרא יהושׁע נגד כל־קהל ישׂראל והנשׁים והטף והגר ההלך בקרבם - Zechariah 38 14:2 - For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle ; and the city shall be taken , and the houses rifled , and the women ravished ; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
ואספתי את־כל־הגוים אל־ירושׁלם למלחמה ונלכדה העיר ונשׁסו הבתים והנשׁים תשׁגלנה ויצא חצי העיר בגולה ויתר העם לא יכרת מנ־העיר - Nehemiah 16 8:3 - And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday , before the men and the women, and those that could understand ; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
ויקרא־בו לפני הרחוב אשׁר לפני שׁער־המים מנ־האור עד־מחצית היום נגד האנשׁים והנשׁים והמבינים ואזני כל־העם אל־ספר התורה
