- Jeremiah 24 44:7 - Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel ; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling , out of Judah, to leave you none to remain ;
ועתה כה־אמר יהוה אלהי צבאות אלהי ישׂראל למה אתם עשׂים רעה גדולה אל־נפשׁתכם להכרית לכם אישׁ־ואשׁה עולל ויונק מתוך יהודה לבלתי הותיר לכם שׁארית - Ezekiel 26 8:9 - And he said unto me, Go in , and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
ויאמר אלי בא וראה את־התועבות הרעות אשׁר הם עשׂים פה - Jeremiah 24 26:19 - Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death ? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD , and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
ההמת המתהו חזקיהו מלכ־יהודה וכל־יהודה הלא ירא את־יהוה ויחל את־פני יהוה וינחם יהוה אל־הרעה אשׁר־דבר עליהם ואנחנו עשׂים רעה גדולה על־נפשׁותינו - Nehemiah 16 4:2 - And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said , What do these feeble Jews ? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice ? will they make an end in a day ? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned ?
ויאמר לפני אחיו וחיל שׁמרון ויאמר מה היהודים האמללים עשׂים היעזבו להם היזבחו היכלו ביום היחיו את־האבנים מערמות העפר והמה שׂרופות - Ezekiel 26 8:12 - Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery ? for they say , The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
ויאמר אלי הראית בנ־אדם אשׁר זקני בית־ישׂראל עשׂים בחשׁך אישׁ בחדרי משׂכיתו כי אמרים אין יהוה ראה אתנו עזב יהוה את־הארץ
