- Exodus 2 32:12 - Wherefore should the Egyptians speak , and say , For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth ? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.
למה יאמרו מצרים לאמר ברעה הוציאם להרג אתם בהרים ולכלתם מעל פני האדמה שׁוב מחרון אפך והנחם על־הרעה לעמך - Jeremiah 24 18:23 - Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.
ואתה יהוה ידעת את־כל־עצתם עלי למות אל־תכפר על־עונם וחטאתם מלפניך אל־תמחי והיו מכשׁלים לפניך בעת אפך עשׂה בהם - Ezekiel 26 23:25 - And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears ; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword : they shall take thy sons and thy daughters ; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
ונתתי קנאתי בך ועשׂו אותך בחמה אפך ואזניך יסירו ואחריתך בחרב תפול המה בניך ובנותיך יקחו ואחריתך תאכל באשׁ - Exodus 2 32:11 - And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said , LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand ?
ויחל משׁה את־פני יהוה אלהיו ויאמר למה יהוה יחרה אפך בעמך אשׁר הוצאת מארץ מצרים בכח גדול וביד חזקה - Judges 7 6:39 - And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once : let me prove , I pray thee, but this once with the fleece ; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.
