- Genesis 1 14:1 - And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations ;
ויהי בימי אמרפל מלכ־שׁנער אריוך מלך אלסר כדרלעמר מלך עילם ותדעל מלך גוים - Isaiah 23 16:9 - Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah : I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh : for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen .
על־כן אבכה בבכי יעזר גפן שׂבמה אריוך דמעתי חשׁבון ואלעלה כי על־קיצך ועל־קצירך הידד נפל - Daniel 27 2:24 - Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon : he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon : bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
כל־קבל דנה דניאל על על־אריוך די מני מלכא להובדה לחכימי בבל אזל וכן אמר־לה לחכימי בבל אל־תהובד העלני קדם מלכא ופשׁרא למלכא אחוא - Daniel 27 2:15 - He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king ? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
ענה ואמר לאריוך שׁליטא די־מלכא על־מה דתא מהחצפה מנ־קדם מלכא אדין מלתא הודע אריוך לדניאל - Genesis 1 14:9 - With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar ; four kings with five.
