- Esther 17 8:5 - And said , If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces :
ותאמר אמ־על־המלך טוב ואמ־מצאתי חן לפניו וכשׁר הדבר לפני המלך וטובה אני בעיניו יכתב להשׁיב את־הספרים מחשׁבת המן בנ־המדתא האגגי אשׁר כתב לאבד את־היהודים אשׁר בכל־מדינות המלך - Daniel 27 4:23 - And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying , Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field ; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;
ודי חזה מלכא עיר וקדישׁ נחת מנ־שׁמיא ואמר גדו אילנא וחבלוהי ברם עקר שׁרשׁוהי בארעא שׁבקו ובאסור די־פרזל ונחשׁ בדתאא די ברא ובטל שׁמיא יצטבע ועמ־חיות ברא חלקה עד די־שׁבעה עדנין יחלפון עלוהי - Daniel 27 4:15 - Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field ; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth :
ברם עקר שׁרשׁוהי בארעא שׁבקו ובאסור די־פרזל ונחשׁ בדתאא די ברא ובטל שׁמיא יצטבע ועמ־חיותא חלקה בעשׂב ארעא - Ezra 15 7:21 - And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
ומני אנה ארתחשׁסתא מלכא שׂים טעם לכל גזבריא די בעבר נהרה די כל־די ישׁאלנכון עזרא כהנה ספר דתא די־אלה שׁמיא אספרנא יתעבד - Daniel 27 3:6 - And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
ומנ־די־לא יפל ויסגד בה־שׁעתא יתרמא לגוא־אתון נורא יקדתא
