- 1 Samuel 9 6:9 - And see , if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil : but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us .
וראיתם אמ־דרך גבולו יעלה בית שׁמשׁ הוא עשׂה לנו את־הרעה הגדולה הזאת ואמ־לא וידענו כי לא ידו נגעה בנו מקרה הוא היה לנו - 1 Samuel 9 20:13 - The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan : but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away , that thou mayest go in peace : and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.
