- Judges 7 5:14 - Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek ; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people ; out of Machir came down governors , and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer .
מני אפרים שׁרשׁם בעמלק אחריך בנימין בעממיך מני מכיר ירדו מחקקים ומזבולן משׁכים בשׁבט ספר - Exodus 2 17:16 - For he said , Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
ויאמר כי־יד על־כס יה מלחמה ליהוה בעמלק מדר דר - Exodus 2 17:10 - So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek : and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
ויעשׂ יהושׁע כאשׁר אמר־לו משׁה להלחם בעמלק ומשׁה אהרן וחור עלו ראשׁ הגבעה - 1 Samuel 9 28:18 - Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.
כאשׁר לא־שׁמעת בקול יהוה ולא־עשׂית חרונ־אפו בעמלק על־כן הדבר הזה עשׂה־לך יהוה היום הזה - Exodus 2 17:9 - And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out , fight with Amalek : to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
