- Deuteronomy 5 9:4 - Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying , For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land : but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
אל־תאמר בלבבך בהדף יהוה אלהיך אתם מלפניך לאמר בצדקתי הביאני יהוה לרשׁת את־הארץ הזאת וברשׁעת הגוים האלה יהוה מורישׁם מפניך - Proverbs 20 12:3 - A man shall not be established by wickedness : but the root of the righteous shall not be moved .
לא־יכון אדם ברשׁע ושׁרשׁ צדיקים בל־ימוט - Deuteronomy 5 9:5 - Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land : but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
לא בצדקתך ובישׁר לבבך אתה בא לרשׁת את־ארצם כי ברשׁעת הגוים האלה יהוה אלהיך מורישׁם מפניך ולמען הקים את־הדבר אשׁר נשׁבע יהוה לאבתיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב - Proverbs 20 11:5 - The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way : but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
צדקת תמים תישׁר דרכו וברשׁעתו יפל רשׁע - Psalms 19 141:4 - Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity : and let me not eat of their dainties.
