- Jeremiah 24 19:13 - And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
והיו בתי ירושׁלם ובתי מלכי יהודה כמקום התפת הטמאים לכל הבתים אשׁר קטרו על־גגתיהם לכל צבא השׁמים והסך נסכים לאלהים אחרים - Leviticus 3 11:35 - And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean ; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down : for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
וכל אשׁר־יפל מנבלתם עליו יטמא תנור וכירים יתץ טמאים הם וטמאים יהיו לכם - Leviticus 3 11:28 - And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even : they are unclean unto you.
והנשׂא את־נבלתם יכבס בגדיו וטמא עד־הערב טמאים המה לכם - Ezekiel 26 20:30 - Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD ; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers ? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations ?
לכן אמר אל־בית ישׂראל כה אמר אדני יהוה הבדרך אבותיכם אתם נטמאים ואחרי שׁקוציהם אתם זנים - Deuteronomy 5 14:7 - Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof ; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney : for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof ; therefore they are unclean unto you.
