- Deuteronomy 5 24:22 - And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt : therefore I command thee to do this thing.
וזכרת כי־עבד היית בארץ מצרים על־כן אנכי מצוך לעשׂות את־הדבר הזה - Leviticus 3 25:42 - For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt : they shall not be sold as bondmen.
כי־עבדי הם אשׁר־הוצאתי אתם מארץ מצרים לא ימכרו ממכרת עבד - Ezra 15 9:9 - For we were bondmen ; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
כי־עבדים אנחנו ובעבדתנו לא עזבנו אלהינו ויט־עלינו חסד לפני מלכי פרס לתת־לנו מחיה לרומם את־בית אלהינו ולהעמיד את־חרבתיו ולתת־לנו גדר ביהודה ובירושׁלם - Deuteronomy 5 5:15 - And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm : therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
וזכרת כי־עבד היית בארץ מצרים ויצאך יהוה אלהיך משׁם ביד חזקה ובזרע נטויה על־כן צוך יהוה אלהיך לעשׂות את־יום השׁבת - 2 Samuel 10 14:19 - And the king said , Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman answered and said , As thy soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken : for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thine handmaid :
