- 1 Samuel 9 2:6 - The LORD killeth , and maketh alive : he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up .
יהוה ממית ומחיה מוריד שׁאול ויעל - Ezra 15 9:9 - For we were bondmen ; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
כי־עבדים אנחנו ובעבדתנו לא עזבנו אלהינו ויט־עלינו חסד לפני מלכי פרס לתת־לנו מחיה לרומם את־בית אלהינו ולהעמיד את־חרבתיו ולתת־לנו גדר ביהודה ובירושׁלם - Nehemiah 16 4:13 - Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places , I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

וירדפם אסא והעם אשׁר־עמו עד־לגרר ויפל מכושׁים לאין להם מחיה כי־נשׁברו לפני־יהוה ולפני מחנהו וישׂאו שׁלל הרבה מאד - Ezra 15 9:8 - And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
