- Proverbs 20 23:14 - Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
אתה בשׁבט תכנו ונפשׁו משׁאול תציל נָכָה Beat, cast forth, clap,.. [8686] שֵׁבֶט × correction, dart, rod.. נָצַל × at all, defend, deliv.. [8686] נֶפֶשׁ Any, appetite, beast, b.. שְׁאוֹל Grave, hell, pit - Nehemiah 16 10:31 - And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell , that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day : and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
ועמי הארץ המביאים את־המקחות וכל־שׁבר ביום השׁבת למכור לא־נקח מהם בשׁבת וביום קדשׁ ונטשׁ את־השׁנה השׁביעית ומשׁא כל־יד - Job 18 30:3 - For want and famine they were solitary ; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.
