- Proverbs 20 23:14 - Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
אתה בשׁבט תכנו ונפשׁו משׁאול תציל נָכָה Beat, cast forth, clap,.. [8686] שֵׁבֶט × correction, dart, rod.. נָצַל × at all, defend, deliv.. [8686] נֶפֶשׁ Any, appetite, beast, b.. שְׁאוֹל Grave, hell, pit - 2 Samuel 10 4:8 - And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy , which sought thy life ; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.
