- Jeremiah 24 33:12 - Thus saith the LORD of hosts ; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down .
כה־אמר יהוה צבאות עוד יהיה במקום הזה החרב מאינ־אדם ועד־בהמה ובכל־עריו נוה רעים מרבצים צאן - Psalms 19 135:8 - Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

על־ההרים אשׂא בכי ונהי ועל־נאות מדבר קינה כי נצתו מבלי־אישׁ עבר ולא שׁמעו קול מקנה מעוף השׁמים ועד־בהמה נדדו הלכו - Exodus 2 11:7 - But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast : that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
