- Genesis 1 32:28 - And he said , Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel : for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed .
ויאמר לא יעקב יאמר עוד שׁמך כי אמ־ישׂראל כי־שׂרית עמ־אלהים ועמ־אנשׁים ותוכל - Job 18 34:9 - For he hath said , It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
כי־אמר לא יסכנ־גבר ברצתו עמ־אלהים - 1 Samuel 9 14:45 - And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die , who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel ? God forbid : as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground ; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
