- Deuteronomy 5 20:11 - And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.
והיה אמ־שׁלום תענך ופתחה לך והיה כל־העם הנמצא־בה יהיו לך למס ועבדוך - Isaiah 23 48:8 - Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened : for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously , and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
גם לא־שׁמעת גם לא ידעת גם מאז לא־פתחה אזנך כי ידעתי בגוד תבגוד ופשׁע מבטן קרא לך - Amos 30 8:5 - Saying , When will the new moon be gone , that we may sell corn ? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small , and the shekel great , and falsifying the balances by deceit ?
