- 1 Kings 11 20:32 - So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said , Thy servant Benhadad saith , I pray thee, let me live . And he said , Is he yet alive ? he is my brother.
ויחגרו שׂקים במתניהם וחבלים בראשׁיהם ויבאו אל־מלך ישׂראל ויאמרו עבדך בנ־הדד אמר תחי־נא נפשׁי ויאמר העודנו חי אחי הוא - 2 Kings 12 19:2 - And he sent Eliakim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe , and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
וישׁלח את־אליקים אשׁר־על־הבית ושׁבנא הספר ואת זקני הכהנים מתכסים בשׂקים אל־ישׁעיהו הנביא בנ־אמוץ - Isaiah 23 37:2 - And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe , and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
וישׁלח את־אליקים אשׁר־על־הבית ואת שׁבנא הסופר ואת זקני הכהנים מתכסים בשׂקים אל־ישׁעיהו בנ־אמוץ הנביא - Joshua 6 9:4 - They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors , and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent , and bound up ;
ויעשׂו גמ־המה בערמה וילכו ויצטירו ויקחו שׂקים בלים לחמוריהם ונאדות יין בלים ומבקעים ומצררים - Nehemiah 16 9:1 - Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.
