- Joshua 6 4:14 - On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel ; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.
ביום ההוא גדל יהוה את־יהושׁע בעיני כל־ישׂראל ויראו אתו כאשׁר יראו את־משׁה כל־ימי חייו - Deuteronomy 5 31:14 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die : call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge . And Moses and Joshua went , and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה הן קרבו ימיך למות קרא את־יהושׁע והתיצבו באהל מועד ואצונו וילך משׁה ויהושׁע ויתיצבו באהל מועד - Joshua 6 9:24 - And they answered Joshua, and said , Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
ויענו את־יהושׁע ויאמרו כי הגד הגד לעבדיך את אשׁר צוה יהוה אלהיך את־משׁה עבדו לתת לכם את־כל־הארץ ולהשׁמיד את־כל־ישׁבי הארץ מפניכם ונירא מאד לנפשׁתינו מפניכם ונעשׂה את־הדבר הזה - Joshua 6 1:16 - And they answered Joshua, saying , All that thou commandest us we will do , and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go .
ויענו את־יהושׁע לאמר כל אשׁר־צויתנו נעשׂה ואל־כל־אשׁר תשׁלחנו נלך - Joshua 6 8:27 - Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the LORD which he commanded Joshua.
