- Deuteronomy 5 19:6 - Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer , while his heart is hot , and overtake him, because the way is long , and slay him ; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
פנ־ירדף גאל הדם אחרי הרצח כי־יחם לבבו והשׂיגו כי־ירבה הדרך והכהו נפשׁ ולו אין משׁפט־מות כי לא שׂנא הוא לו מתמול שׁלשׁום - Isaiah 23 14:1 - For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land : and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
