- 2 Kings 12 10:23 - And Jehu went , and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search , and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.
ויבא יהוא ויהונדב בנ־רכב בית הבעל ויאמר לעבדי הבעל חפשׂו וראו פנ־ישׁ־פה עמכם מעבדי יהוה כי אמ־עבדי הבעל לבדם - Nehemiah 16 3:14 - But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem ; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
ואת שׁער האשׁפות החזיק מלכיה בנ־רכב שׂר פלך בית־הכרם הוא יבננו ויעמיד דלתתיו מנעליו ובריחיו - Jeremiah 24 35:19 - Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel ; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.
לכן כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישׂראל לא־יכרת אישׁ ליונדב בנ־רכב עמד לפני כל־הימים - Jeremiah 24 35:8 - Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters ;
ונשׁמע בקול יהונדב בנ־רכב אבינו לכל אשׁר צונו לבלתי שׁתות־יין כל־ימינו אנחנו נשׁינו בנינו ובנתינו - Jeremiah 24 35:14 - The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed ; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment : notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking ; but ye hearkened not unto me.
הוקם את־דברי יהונדב בנ־רכב אשׁר־צוה את־בניו לבלתי שׁתות־יין ולא שׁתו עד־היום הזה כי שׁמעו את מצות אביהם ואנכי דברתי אליכם השׁכם ודבר ולא שׁמעתם אלי
