- Genesis 1 38:9 - And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
וידע אונן כי לא לו יהיה הזרע והיה אמ־בא אל־אשׁת אחיו ושׁחת ארצה לבלתי נתנ־זרע לאחיו - Ruth 8 4:12 - And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.
ויהי ביתך כבית פרץ אשׁר־ילדה תמר ליהודה מנ־הזרע אשׁר יתן יהוה לך מנ־הנערה הזאת - Deuteronomy 5 22:9 - Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds : lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown , and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled .
