- Deuteronomy 5 9:19 - For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
כי יגרתי מפני האף והחמה אשׁר קצף יהוה עליכם להשׁמיד אתכם וישׁמע יהוה אלי גם בפעם ההוא - 2 Kings 12 6:26 - And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying , Help , my lord, O king.
ויהי מלך ישׂראל עבר על־החמה ואשׁה צעקה אליו לאמר הושׁיעה אדני המלך - 2 Kings 12 6:30 - And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes ; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked , and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.
ויהי כשׁמע המלך את־דברי האשׁה ויקרע את־בגדיו והוא עבר על־החמה וירא העם והנה השׂק על־בשׂרו מבית - Jeremiah 24 25:15 - For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
כי כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישׂראל אלי קח את־כוס היין החמה הזאת מידי והשׁקיתה אתו את־כל־הגוים אשׁר אנכי שׁלח אותך אליהם - Jeremiah 24 36:7 - It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way : for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.
אולי תפל תחנתם לפני יהוה וישׁבו אישׁ מדרכו הרעה כי־גדול האף והחמה אשׁר־דבר יהוה אל־העם הזה
