- Nehemiah 16 8:13 - And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe , even to understand the words of the law.
וביום השׁני נאספו ראשׁי האבות לכל־העם הכהנים והלוים אל־עזרא הספר ולהשׂכיל אל־דברי התורה - 2 Chronicles 14 34:15 - And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe , I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.
ויען חלקיהו ויאמר אל־שׁפן הסופר ספר התורה מצאתי בבית יהוה ויתן חלקיהו את־הספר אל־שׁפן - Nehemiah 16 8:3 - And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday , before the men and the women, and those that could understand ; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
ויקרא־בו לפני הרחוב אשׁר לפני שׁער־המים מנ־האור עד־מחצית היום נגד האנשׁים והנשׁים והמבינים ואזני כל־העם אל־ספר התורה - Deuteronomy 5 4:8 - And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day ?
ומי גוי גדול אשׁר־לו חקים ומשׁפטים צדיקם ככל התורה הזאת אשׁר אנכי נתן לפניכם היום - Exodus 2 18:20 - And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk , and the work that they must do .
והזהרתה אתהם את־החקים ואת־התורת והודעת להם את־הדרך ילכו בה ואת־המעשׂה אשׁר יעשׂון
