- 2 Chronicles 14 11:22 - And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren : for he thought to make him king .
ויעמד לראשׁ רחבעם את־אביה בנ־מעכה לנגיד באחיו כי להמליכו - 1 Kings 11 12:1 - And Rehoboam went to Shechem : for all Israel were come to Shechem to make him king .
וילך רחבעם שׁכם כי שׁכם בא כל־ישׂראל להמליך אתו רְחַבְעָם Rehoboam יָלַךְ × again, away, bear, br.. [8799] שְׁכֶם Shechem יִשְׂרָאֵל Israel בּוֹא Abide, apply, attain, ×.. [8804] שְׁכֶם Shechem מָלַךְ Consult, × indeed, be (.. [8687] - 1 Chronicles 13 28:4 - Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever : for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler ; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father ; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel :
ויבחר יהוה אלהי ישׂראל בי מכל בית־אבי להיות למלך על־ישׂראל לעולם כי ביהודה בחר לנגיד ובבית יהודה בית אבי ובבני אבי בי רצה להמליך על־כל־ישׂראל - 1 Kings 11 16:21 - Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts : half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king ; and half followed Omri.
