- Nehemiah 16 9:29 - And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law : yet they dealt proudly , and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear .
ותעד בהם להשׁיבם אל־תורתך והמה הזידו ולא־שׁמעו למצותיך ובמשׁפטיך חטאו־בם אשׁר־יעשׂה אדם וחיה בהם ויתנו כתף סוררת וערפם הקשׁו ולא שׁמעו - Isaiah 23 48:18 - O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments ! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea :
לוא הקשׁבת למצותי ויהי כנהר שׁלומך וצדקתך כגלי הים - Exodus 2 15:26 - And said , If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians : for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
