- 1 Samuel 9 14:45 - And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die , who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel ? God forbid : as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground ; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
ויאמר העם אל־שׁאול היונתן ימות אשׁר עשׂה הישׁועה הגדולה הזאת בישׂראל חלילה חי־יהוה אמ־יפל משׂערת ראשׁו ארצה כי־עמ־אלהים עשׂה היום הזה ויפדו העם את־יונתן ולא־מת - Ezra 15 9:3 - And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied .
וכשׁמעי את־הדבר הזה קרעתי את־בגדי ומעילי ואמרטה משׂער ראשׁי וזקני ואשׁבה משׁומם - 1 Kings 11 1:52 - And Solomon said , If he will shew himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth : but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die .
ויאמר שׁלמה אם יהיה לבנ־חיל לא־יפל משׂערתו ארצה ואמ־רעה תמצא־בו ומת - Psalms 19 40:12 - For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up ; they are more than the hairs of mine head : therefore my heart faileth me.
