- Numbers 4 21:18 - The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver , with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah :
באר חפרוה שׂרים כרוה נדיבי העם במחקק במשׁענתם וממדבר מתנה - Numbers 4 21:19 - And from Mattanah to Nahaliel : and from Nahaliel to Bamoth :
וממתנה נחליאל ומנחליאל במות מַתָּנָה Mattanah נַחֲלִיאֵל Nahaliel נַחֲלִיאֵל Nahaliel בָּמוֹת Bamoth, Bamoth-baal - Ecclesiastes 21 7:7 - Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad ; and a gift destroyeth the heart.
כי העשׁק יהולל חכם ויאבד את־לב מתנה עֹשֶׁק Cruelly, extortion, opp.. חָכָם Cunning (man), subtil, .. הָלַל (make) boast (self), ce.. [8779] מַתָּנָה Gift אָבַד Break, destroy, destruc.. [8762] לֵב Care for, comfortably,.. - Ezekiel 26 46:16 - Thus saith the Lord GOD ; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons '; it shall be their possession by inheritance.
כה־אמר אדני יהוה כי־יתן הנשׂיא מתנה לאישׁ מבניו נחלתו היא לבניו תהיה אחזתם היא בנחלה - Ezekiel 26 46:17 - But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty ; after it shall return to the prince : but his inheritance shall be his sons ' for them.
וכי־יתן מתנה מנחלתו לאחד מעבדיו והיתה לו עד־שׁנת הדרור ושׁבת לנשׂיא אך נחלתו בניו להם תהיה
