- Ezra 15 9:9 - For we were bondmen ; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
כי־עבדים אנחנו ובעבדתנו לא עזבנו אלהינו ויט־עלינו חסד לפני מלכי פרס לתת־לנו מחיה לרומם את־בית אלהינו ולהעמיד את־חרבתיו ולתת־לנו גדר ביהודה ובירושׁלם - Ezra 15 9:8 - And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
ועתה כמעט־רגע היתה תחנה מאת יהוה אלהינו להשׁאיר לנו פליטה ולתת־לנו יתד במקום קדשׁו להאיר עינינו אלהינו ולתתנו מחיה מעט בעבדתנו - Nehemiah 16 10:37 - And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God ; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
