- 1 Kings 11 6:27 - And he set the cherubims within the inner house : and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall ; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
ויתן את־הכרובים בתוך הבית הפנימי ויפרשׂו את־כנפי הכרבים ותגע כנפ־האחד בקיר וכנף הכרוב השׁני נגעת בקיר השׁני וכנפיהם אל־תוך הבית נגעת כנף אל־כנף - Deuteronomy 5 22:17 - And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying , I found not thy daughter a maid ; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
והנה־הוא שׂם עלילת דברים לאמר לא־מצאתי לבתך בתולים ואלה בתולי בתי ופרשׂו השׂמלה לפני זקני העיר - Isaiah 23 33:23 - Thy tacklings are loosed ; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail : then is the prey of a great spoil divided ; the lame take the prey.
