- Ezekiel 26 12:22 - Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying , The days are prolonged , and every vision faileth ?
בנ־אדם מה־המשׁל הזה לכם על־אדמת ישׂראל לאמר יארכו הימים ואבד כל־חזון - Isaiah 23 14:4 - That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say , How hath the oppressor ceased ! the golden city ceased !
ונשׂאת המשׁל הזה על־מלך בבל ואמרת איך שׁבת נגשׂ שׁבתה מדהבה - Ezekiel 26 18:3 - As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
